Future Vertical Lift

Intended to be a replacement for the UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters. The following designs were presented to NAVAIR AViation/Ship Integration by NAVAIR Warfare Analysis and Integration Department. FVL concepts were analyzed aboard LHA/LHD and LPD ships. It is believed that the FVL aircraft will be one of the JMR aircraft.

JMR was intended to be a family of aircraft that replaced various US military helicopters. Multiple proposals were submitted, and the design concepts chosen were the Bell V-280 Valor (which is a 91% sized version of the Bell JMR proposal) and the Sikorsky SB-1 Defiant.
