Snake Island reportedly shelled by Slava class cruiser Moskva and Bykov class patrol vessel Vasily Bykov
Zmiinyi island was attacked by Russian ships
The occupiers fired on the island from the ships' artillery. Border guards and the Armed Forces of Ukraine hold the defense from two ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet "Moscow" and "Vasily Bykov" - Ministry of Defense (ukraine)

2 more merchant ships hit by Russian attacks in Black Sea:
- Japanese bulk carrier MV Namura Queen hit by a rocket at anchor off Yuzhne.
- Moldovan chemical tanker MV Millennial Spirit hit and set on fire 12 miles to the south

continually Worsening situation

- snake-island battle: apparently 13 ukrainian troops killed, others (81-83 ?) surrended to russian forces
- Entire ukrainian fleet destroyed by russians forces at Odessa (8 ? ukrainian ships destroyed)
- Ukrainian Navy's largest ship (Krivak III-class frigate) HETMAN SAHAYDACHNY F130 (ex-U130) maybe scuttled by its crew at ? Nikolayev or Odessa ?
- French seize a russian ship in the channel

- nuclear threat by putin (he feels that the Ukrainian resistance will make him tremble or $$$ sanctions :roll: )

(Very) bad time, we already had Covid-19, all that was missing was a general conflict :roll:

Russians report of 82 people being taken prisoner on Snake Island.
According to ukraininan statistics, there were 16 people including civilian weather station crew at the island prior to the start of the invasion.

It has been reported that the EU has delivered several MiG-29 fighter to Ukraine. Don't know if they came from Poland, Slovakia or Bulgaria.

There is only a hint that EU could deliver some fighters, it's a proposition and nothing beyond that.
