I have found a 21.5" iMac at a really good price and am very interested. Before I make the "plunge", does Apple offer an equivalent program to MS Paint as this will be a deciding factor in the purchase. I predominantly use MS Paint for my drawing.

Nothing equivalent out of their own stables.
You can get a version of GraphicConverter as a free download.
at the under $10 range there is https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/patina- ... 8098?mt=12
The best mid range editor is Colour It from http://www.digimagearts.com/
Then of course there are all the high end ones.

Pinta comes to mind, I've not actually used it though as only having a macbook and no mouse I prefer to draw on my Windows machine.

Because OSX is basically Unix underneath, you can use GIMP on a Mac.

https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

GIMP is free-as-in-speech as well as free-as-in-beer, offering functionality somewhere between Paint.NET and Photoshop. It can be a little bit intimidating at first to get set up for true pixelbashing in the Shipbucket style, but I'd be happy to offer some setup advice over PM if you're interested (one of my personal machines is a Mac).

IIRC Aesprite works for mac.

Really, you can do a lot better than MS paint on any OS. It doesn't even have layers or transparency.
