I've noticed recently that there have been several threads that have become very heated, due to the posting of political views. While we do not usually censor free speach, we also expect that members exercise some moderation and responsibility in the exercise of free speach, particulary where the views expressed will cause offence to other members. Personally. I find it frustrating to have to read through some of the views that 'silt up' threads, to such an extent that we get pages of argument and no drawings - always a bad sign. As I've mentioned elsewhere, there are many Forums that eagerly embrace participants with nothing else to contribute than their political views, and maybe these can provide a more suitable venue to 'let off steam'; and there is always the option of using the pm function to spare other members.

Fell free to let off steam here ;)

I came across a saying here in Norway once, that goes like this: ".... do not talk politics with Americans when you playing poker! "what it must mean, I do not know.

well speaking of politics in the forum, DON'T make the mistake by turning this one falling into discussion about americans and rotw ;)

Generally remember, this is a drawing forum. Politics should come to play on with background stories to AUs and in then, try to avoid getting too derailed.

There is more shades of grey on this topic than one of Ruriks superb battlecruisers.Armed conflict is the extension of diplomacy by other means, thus is politics.Seeing as we have all drawn warships and most members countries have at one time or another been at war it gets difficult sometimes not to upset anyone.I think we ALL need to learn when not too take things too far.
