Transfer your Photobucket and Imageshack content to Dropbox and stop banging your head against the wall!

Pulling this back down to a sticky topic because dropbox got rid of the public folder.

Auf Wietersan Imageshack!
Now I will not have to open and close out of tabs to appease Chuck the Evil Imageshack Frog so that he will press the magic button that will allow me to actually upload a file.

Unless i didnt listen to the video right... but, wont it be better to upload it to photobucket so you will always have the picture that you can look at it from any computer? It would be great to have dropbox but it wouldnt hurt to back it up on the photobucket database. Im still going to download dropbox but it will be a help to keep some designs on photobucket or image shack because i use multiple computers daily.

You can also view the files on dropbox.com, through a much simpler and streamlined web interface. You don't have to have the dropbox program installed on a computer to access the files, I guess I didn't make that clear enough in the video.

There is literally no good reason to continue using Photobucket or Imageshack. Go ahead and use them if you're a glutton for punishment I guess, but once I discovered Dropbox I never went back and will continue to turn people away from Photobucket et al.

Dropbox looks alot better to use, its also good for some other things I do online. But can it be used on a flashdrive? Im guessing not...

I imagine you could set up Dropbox to put its folder inside the flash drive, and then whenever you plug your flash drive into the computer with the dropbox folder installed, it would sync and update the files on the drive. Not sure though. I only have Dropbox actually installed on my big desktop computer that I do my personal stuff on. If I need to access my files on my work computer, laptop, or anywhere else, I just use the web interface at Dropbox.com.

The Dropbox web interface isn't set up specifically for images, but it serves its purpose (being an online file host for my drawings) and passes with flying colors. I like it so much because it's just another folder on my desktop that I can drag and drop files into for easy hosting.
