Yamagumo and Michishio have been found.

Predictably, Yamagumo is in pieces, with debris scattered over the sea floor.

Impressive work by that team, just leaves Mogami on their list which we might see in the coming week

Sad though for those lost but from a design standpoint interesting to see what damage a torpedo can inflict on a light destroyer

Mogami sank some distance away from the rest of them, so I don't know if they plan to look for her or not. According to what I've read, she was not an objective of this expedition, but might be a 'future project'.

From what I read they plan too if they have time which they might due to the speedy nature of these discoveries

Probably in a future expedition. After Surigao they went to Ormoc Bay where they found USS Ward and USS Cooper.

It won’t be long untill those wrecks will be illegally salvaged now that they have been found.

Illegal salvagers prefer wrecks in shallower water, well within the reach of divers, meaning at max 430 feet deep. The wrecks in Surigao Strait and Ormoc Bay are 600 feet or deeper. Plus Surigao Strait has very strong currents; those aboard Petrel said it was a struggle to keep the ship situated above the wrecks to even survey them...a squishy human could do little or nothing against currents like that. Not to mention the Philippine government has stated they will protect these wrecks. That being said, I think they're safe from salvagers.
