The Lyon-Class of French battleships were designed in 1913 to be the, new and improved, successor to the Normandie-class. Their design was 10% larger than the Normandies would have been. The overall design of these ships shows a marked resemblance to the Normandie-Class. However, the designers added a fourth quad 340mm turret superfiring over the stern quad.
Depicted below is the proposed lead ship of the class, Lyon as she might have appeared completed had WWI and the needs of the French Army not have forced their cancellation

I wonder when you will stop making it appear as though there is a double black line on the bottom of the underwater hull?

It is actually a black line with a dark green line above it.

It is hard for me and others to notice the difference, though.

Great drawing of the Lyon David.

ABN - it is the same with a lot of the red hulls too. I use a dark red as the first line up from the black hull line. That can also appear as double black. Because SB does not want double black lines, there are also times where people have used a black line with a very dark grey together to show the 4"-5" guns. Have a look at the 4.7" AA gun on the Official RN weapons sheet. It is up to the artist to draw as close to the original drawing as he can. If that means black with another dark colour beside it, then so be it.

Sorry, I suppose a green colorblind person should not be commenting on a green color.

Very nice work, I was wondering when we would see these beasts in SB!
