The Lyon-Class of French battleships were designed in 1913 to be the, new and improved, successor to the Normandie-class. Their design was 10% larger than the Normandies would have been. The overall design of these ships shows a marked resemblance to the Normandie-Class. However, the designers added a fourth quad 340mm turret superfiring over the stern quad.
