Hey guys...back after a long period of "hiding". I hope all of you to be well.
Plenty drawings especially Cruisers have been done during my absence and will be revealed in the near future.

On this post a remake of the Greek Hydra destroyer, a more accurate drawing based on Enrr's original drawing.
The only I just guess on this drawing is the position of the 4 13,2 mm A/A MGs as there are not so clear pics for their original place on board the ship. (any info?)

RHN Destroyers Hydra class

Hydra (Greek: ΒΠ Ύδρα) was a Greek destroyer of the Dardo class, which served with the Hellenic Navy during the early stages of the Second World War. It was named after the Saronic Gulf island of Hydra, which played an important role in the Greek War of Independence, and was the fourth ship to bear this name.

She was constructed in Sestri Ponente, Italy, by Cantieri Odero, and commissioned by the Hellenic Navy in 1933. After the outbreak of the Greco-Italian War, she participated in the first naval raid against Italian shipping in the Strait of Otranto (14–15 November 1940). During the German invasion of Greece, she was attacked by German bomber aircraft on April 22, 1941 and sunk near the island of Lagousa in the Saronic Gulf, together with her commander, Cmdr. Th. Pezopoulos and 41 members of her crew.

(Info from Wikipedia)

Any ideas or proposals for the improvement of the drawing are more than welcome.

Beautiful. The only critique I have is that the gun barrels are out of style, they should be black.

Nice drawing, but:

- black outline around windows is a must. Windows on the wheelhouse is a no-no.
- we have now started to use Windows that are 3 px wide. It would look better on this drawing.
- gunbarrel doesn't follow shipbucket regulation. Barrel should be black and not grey.
- I feel the shading on the bow is to strong. Is the overhang on the bow that intense. Perhaps try som lighter shade, to mark it's bending outward.

Welcome back Navarchos! Great to see You again and with new drawings!

It's a great work, but I share Heuhen's concern about windows (particularly on the bridge) and unfortunately also feel there's too much double-black lines/elements (bitts, lower edges of doors, some sections of armament and directors...)

Thanks guys,

I will outline all guns and correct the portholes.
Colombamike: I have plenty of pics of the class but not such detailed plans! Thanks!...work in progress!

As I was checking various photos the ships look to have plenty of differences between each other.
Some of them lack the third 40mm pom-pom aft of the funnel. At least one photo saw that at the position of the third pom-pom was a double MG (or it looks like that due to the sun glare).
I haven't seen any depth charges rails but at least two photos with mines.
