Time for a submarine:

The HSY-70 submarine or Amphitrite Class was designed in 1970's with some french assistance based loosely on the Rubis hull but with diesel electric propulsion instead of nuclear and several features of Agosta submarines. So, its appearance is that of a fatter and longer Agosta. They featured french sonar systems, six 550 mm torpedo tubes with pneumatic automatic reload system (shared with Agosta), 24 weapons capacity - torpedoes and Sub-Turbo Exocet missiles - integrated to a domestic designed fire control system.

The HSY-70 has also the maximum possible battery capacity for its size and twin electric motors -one small cruising long range motor and a large powerful motor for higher speed- following again french practice. Also she was specially designed for being very quiet and very difficult to detect, especially in low speed. Drawing is the early HSY-70A, later HSY-70B built had more hydrodynamic bow and several improvements. 6 each built from 1978 to 1990.

Specifications

HSY-70A (early)

Displacement (tn): 2060/2570
Dimensions (m): 72.6 x 7.6 x 6.4
Machinery : 2 x ADC/GM 12-630SD diesels, 2,400 hp each, 2 electric motors (one 64 hp and one 8,500 hp)
Speed : Low speed 4 kn, max speed officially classified but said to be ~22.5 kn for the early hull and ~24 kn for the later hull
Armament : 6 x 550mm torpedo tubes, 24 weapons (usually 18 torpedoes and 6 missiles) or 48 mines
Electronics (early): DSUV-22, DUUA-2B, DUUX-5, DSUV-62 towed array sonars, domestic unspecified radar and ECM
Depth : 300m operational, test depth ~500m

These ELINT ships built on merchant hull in 1990's to support Hellenic Navy operations. 4 built, one for Ionian, Aegean and Black Sea, plus one for East Mediterranean. Latter flies the Cypriot flag and manned by mixed Cypriots and mainland Hellenes. Distinctive features are the 3 large domes which contains the radars and the heavy shelf-defense armament, like the old Soviet purpose built spy ships. Electronic equipment has updated several times. Still need underwater hull and naming.

Length : 133,2 m
Beam : 20,8 m
Draft : 4.9 m
Displacement : 6.200 tn
Propulsion : 4 diesel engines, 24.000 total
Max speed : classified
Electronic equipment : classified
Armament : 1 x OTO Melara 76mm, 2 X Oerlikon GDM-A 35mm AHEAD, 1 x SADRAL, 2 x 30mm RWS M791 and 16 X ARIS VL (added in 2016 refit)

ACV(HL) 35m

This hovercraft is the western direct equivalent of Soviet Tsaplya class, developed for the same mission. Hellenic Hoverwork was established in late 1960's to built under lisence British hovercrafts SR.N6 and BH.7 for RHN. Several SR.N6 were also built as civilian vessels, plus a domestic civilian commercial hovercraft based on experience from license built BH.7*. British offered a variant of VT.2 originally back in early 1980's, but RHN turned down the offer, because wanted an ACV capable of transferring one MBT or three IFVs, more or less 50 tons weight. The vessel was also required to loaded on an domestic LPD, which was on development to replace the WW2 vintage Casa Grande Class LSDs (3 ships, Nafkratousa Class) from early 1990s and also capable of minelaying. Prototype vessel was built in 1990-92 and tested until 1996, together with its sister second prototype from 1993, shown impressive performance. Ten more built until 2008, the prototypes also entered service after rebuilt. The MRL can lowered inside like in Zubr class for reloading with 12 more rockets behind it, from a magazine similar with M77 or RM70. The hovercraft has also a rear ramp door for minelaying (40-50 mines can be loaded, depending on size) and a vehicle is capable of driving through it, like in US LCAC. An unusual feature of LCAC(HL) is that the bow lid which locks the front ramp closed is designed to rise a bit for unlocking ramp and then slides back instead of opening upwards as in Tsaplya.

The 30mm Gatling are of a domestic design, firing 30x170 rounds (ARIS 6-30G1) and 30x173 (ARIS 6-30G2), based on M61 Vulcan. The gun itself was planned to used also on a domestic CIWS, but teething problems including excessive vibration under fire prevent this. Firing rate was reduced to 2,500 rpm and the mount was redesigned 2 times before working properly. Even though the ARIS 6-30G is less accurate than Avenger Gatling, is fairly good for firing support.

*The commercial variant had a bit narrower hull, same prop/rudder configuration with the military variant and powered by quadruple Lycoming TF25. Passenger capacity was 260. Only 4 built in early to mid 1980's for the sole hovercraft operator in Hellenic Kingdom, the Ionian Hoverlines (1967-present). Actually they were built in two pairs, second had a central bay for carrying palletized loads or 2-3 coaches. Never carried cars however. All had a large ''B'' (hellenic) in propeller duct, first letter of Hellenic Hoverlines owner's surname.

Today however only SES vessels are in service, last real hovercrafts withdrew in 2000. Ionian Hoverlines had also 3 SR.N4 Mk2 in service, while first commercial SES entered service in 1989-90 (license built norwegian vessels). Competition was mainly Cometa and Kolhida hydrofoils (Ionian Flying Dolphins) and Italian RHS-160/RHS-200 from another company.

* Demetrias (Δημητριάδα) was in real world a Hellenistic/Roman City near the today city of Volos. Another well known ancient city near by is Iolkos, from where the Argonauts started their quest for the Golden Fleech.

A LPD for my AU. She has flight deck for 2 CH-47 Chinook, with helipads like the real life UK Albion Class LPD. Dimensions are 181,6m x 29,6m x 6.7m, taken from the Dutch Enforcer Landing Ships designs (of which I have data) and displacement is 20.000 tn. Dock is large enough for 2 ACV(HL) or 4 LCU similar with Dutch LCU(NL) in size. She has also accommodated US LCACs in exercises with USN. Three ships built, of which one is always on station in East Mediterranean. Possible underwater hull from Enforcer, I have several saved in my computer. Also I am not sure if the Jurmo can fit in Dutch davits from the archive, I think that the Jurmo could be modified. Generally I thought seriously to adopt the Jurmo Landing Craft for my AU, used on these LPDs and in LSTs, so order would be large enough for having a RHN spec variant.
