I have drawn some east german uniforms around 1985-1990:

1st Line: Soldiers Uniform (Field Dress, Service Dress, Walking-out Dress, Parade Dress)
2nd Line: Junior Officer Uniform

Thank you. I have also drawn the uniforms of the east german airborne troopers, but at the moment without field Dress.

I tried to do a front view, but I am pleased with the results, specially with the field uniform.

It is also not so easy to find a scale which does not get too big pictures but where you can see at least some details.

The pictures are based on an old east german dress regulations manual I own, but the pictures there are similar to the pictures in the soviet dress regulations.

It was used also by other eastern european countries like Poland and CSSR but with more a green tone. The reason for using Strichtarn were probably economical, cause it was cheaper to produce then a "real Camouflage pattern". Before the east Germans used "Blumentarn".

They clamed, that this rain Camouflage would be specially good in the conferious forests of est Germany;)

These are just fantastic - it's great to see a much larger infantry profile that allows for so much more detail than Franscale or Soldierbucket (which obviously have their place when depicting squads or organizations)
