ok. now look at what I did to your ship, and how your ship now looks. which one looks more realistic? I hope you get what I mean.

The armoured belt goes all around the ship.
And before you it will capsize it has 3 foot thick armour below the waterline.

Capsizing won't be a problem. Floating will though.

armoured belt all.... that's just an waste of resources. that means your ship will need around twice the amount of metal that other ships need. the best thing is to keep your armoured belt as short as possible!
also, the underwater hull you have shows an armoured belt.

EDIT: sniped by thiel, and he made an very good point as well!

so I ask you now: why do you want an slow ship (because of it's weight) with too many guns? don't forget that you need to add tons of AA as well.

I might displace 40,000-50,000 tons.

I will add pom-poms.

50000 empty at least, I think. and if you add pom poms, with their respective ammunition storage.... where were you planning to put your crew and machinery? and please answer my question

It is not supposed to have Battlecruiser speed.
It is a big and slow Yamato killer.

You could get rid of the aft funnel if they are going to be that size.

the Yamato had a top speed of 27.4 knots, not too slow, also bigger guns and a much more modern hull

it is more logical that the yamato would kill this ship. why? it has bigger guns with longer range, and the speed to stay out of your range. so.....
you'd better build an fast ship with 3*2 relatively large guns.
