My first ride on a Paddle-steamer was on this famous old girl who is still wood fired even today. Hold's a special place in my heart the Melbourne does

Thanks!. I must say the Pevensey might just be the most beautiful on the river though I have never had a ride, you are very lucky!

Yeah she has a very lovely profile and the engine itself was a beautiful piece of engineering. Something about those old paddlers that I love. I've also been onboard the PS Adelaide but not with her running, only when she was tied up to the wharf.
