Re: España Class: Worlds Smallest Dreadnought
Hi Karle!
Best drawing you ever did, unless I really missed out something really spectacular. Excellent. Unfortunately I also have not found any reference as to the size of the screws. But I'm sure Colombamike will have some poster-sized photographs of one of that class in drydock... (hint, hint)
Greetings

Re: España Class: Worlds Smallest Dreadnought
So I looked my book and indeed the propellors are very small, and IMO Karle has captured their size rather well. Unfortunetly I don't have working scanner atm so I can't post the linedrawings nor pics from that book.
Re: España Class: Worlds Smallest Dreadnought
With four turbines (presumably direct-drive) and such anemic top speed, I would expect the screws to be quite small!

Karle, the propellers are too small (look at the official drawing)Garlicdesign wrote: ↑March 28th, 2019, 7:40 amUnfortunately I also have not found any reference as to the size of the screws.

Many naval-books artists make various small errors
Re: España Class: Worlds Smallest Dreadnought
I've resized the propellers, the upper blade by 1 pixel, and the lower ones with 2. I've also added the España as she appeared in 1923.

Good work!
(but the propellers still seem rather small)

Beautiful work, as always!
Re: España Class: Worlds Smallest Dreadnought
I just added the Jaime as she appeared in 1937, her last year.
