The Forrester-class, a family of eight vessels was previously Freesia's premier fleet air defense warship, prior to the commissioning of the Vulture-Class Aegis Guided Missile Destroyers to succeed them in the early 2010's.
These ships were first drawn up in the early 1970's to replace the country's obsolescent Charles F. Adams-Class Missile Destroyers then in service of the country's navy, and were to be initially equipped with RIM-66B SM-1 Missiles. With the lead vessel laid down in late 1975. These ships would serve the Freesian Navy between the 1980's and up to the early 2010's when all eight ships were finally stood down and decommissioned taking part in numerous exercises with allies, and of course, conflicts. From escorting civilian vessels in the Persian gulf during the Iran-Iraq war (Tanker War period) to the Persian Gulf War as part of the Coalition Fleet, to supporting the international effort to combat piracy in the horn of Africa.

Ultimately, five of the ships in the class would be scrapped or sunk in naval exercises with allies in the country's home waters. By 2024 only 3 of the class would be left in Freesian inventory. One being part of the navy's Ready Reserve Force, being maintained in a naval facility in southwestern Freesia. One turned as a designated Navy training vessel, and the last ship awaiting disposal after it was scavenged for parts, with it likely being sunk in a SINKEX exercise with the U.S. Navy sometime in 2025.

Also big thanks to the people in the discord for their helpful feedback in shaping this particular vessel.
